We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced  part time Deputy Manager to join a lovely nursery in Ilford, Greater London. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, excellent knowledge and understanding EYFS statutory requirements, motivate and develop a team.

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or above

Experience of leading and motivating teams

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include:

To lead by example, supporting staff team ensuring all staff understand and follow nursery policy and procedures.

  • To  be a key holder adn work closely with the nursery manager and provide cover for this role ensuring children are learning in a safe, caring environment.
  • To direct, manage staff rota’s and manage staff supervisions.
  • To lead the team and support in EYFS planning
  • To ensure children’s observations, assessment and development records are maintained.
  • To promote diversity and equal opportunity. 
  • To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships.
  • To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • To work 25 hours per week (7.30am -12.30pm) 


Benefits:

Salary £30,000 - £35000 Pro Rata
