A small nursery on the outskirts of Slough are looking for a Room-Based Deputy manager to join their wonderful team.

A salary of up to £30,400 and working 40 hours per week.

Duties include:

  • Leads and manages a small team, motivating them with a shared sense of direction, pride and energy.
  • Helps the Manager with day-to-day planning and managing the setting.
  • Deputises for the Manager where appropriate with responsibility for all health and safety issues within the setting, always ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
  • Deliver childcare in a way that meets parents’ needs and work in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times.
  • To implement the daily routine in the base room.
  • To give support to other personnel within the setting
  • To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting.

The ideal candidate:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Well organised and works autonomously with minimal close supervision.
  • Good level of applied literacy and numeracy
