Are you a passionate and qualified Level 3 practitioner with a desire to make a difference in the lives of young children? A Nursery near Lewisham and Peckham, a charity-run establishment dedicated to providing high-quality care and education, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Room Leaders or Nursery Staff.

  • Room Leader
  • Level 3 Practitioner
  • Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover)

Location: Lewisham and Peckham area, London
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Us:
Lewisham and Peckham Nursery is a charity-run establishment committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Located near Lewisham and Peckham, our nursery offers excellent transport connections, making it easily accessible via Overground, Southern Rail, Thameslink, and bus routes.

Role Overview:
As a Rmember of Nursery staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering our active, play-based learning program in a caring, safe, and vibrant environment. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education for all children who attend our nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Plan and implement a stimulating and developmentally appropriate curriculum, tailored to the needs and interests of the children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining effective communication at all times.
  • Participate in staff appreciation events and team-building activities to promote a positive work culture.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young children in an early years setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care and education to all children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and satisfactory references.
