Atrium Healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of a client for the position of Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a children's home. This role involves ensuring clear and effective procedures for monitoring and controlling home activities, maintaining financial viability, managing serious incidents or complaints, and upholding the quality of care provided.
Responsibilities:
·Facilitate the day-to-day management, monitoring, and supervision of staff in a professional manner.
·Promote professionalism and standards among the team in accordance with policies and procedures.
·Deploy staff on duty effectively to ensure smooth operation of the unit.
·Participate in informative and productive staff meetings, ensuring actions are documented.
·Contribute to staff induction processes.
·Report any malpractice or suspicions to appropriate management or regulatory bodies.
 
Requirements:
·Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
·Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
·Full UK Driving License.
 
Experience:
·Experience in child protection and supervising staff.
·Ideally, at least 3 years of experience working with children and young people.
·Minimum of 1 year's experience in a senior role with children and young people (essential).
