Our client's Children's Home, near Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children aged 6 to 11 years who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and developmental traumas.
 
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the registered manager in the day-to-day running of the home and developing the team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the registered manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home.
  • Lead a dedicated team using the Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) model, ensuring children are respected, heard, and involved in their own lives.
  • Implement therapeutic parenting principles to achieve outstanding outcomes for the children.
  • Build strong rapport with children, providing a nurturing and loving environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive before moving on to a forever family.
  • Participate in overnight stays ('sleep-ins') at the home, completing between 2 and 3 per week as part of the role.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership role within a Children’s Residential Setting.
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (Level 5 leadership and management desirable).
  • Proven track record with Ofsted and understanding of legislative framework and SCCIF.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
