An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our client as the Deputy Manager of a Children's EBD Home. Located in the beautiful setting of Chorley, our client is committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children with complex needs.

Our client's organisation is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to children with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. They are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive and achieve their full potential. As the Deputy Manager of their EBD home, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care.

The Role:

As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the home. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the care team, ensuring that the needs of the children are met effectively.
  • Collaborating with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to develop and implement individual care plans for each child.
  • Ensuring that the home complies with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Conducting regular assessments and reviews to monitor the progress and well-being of the children.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in a residential care setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred).
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred).
