Deputy Headteacher

  • Salary: £65,600 - £72,144

Our Academy, part of a dynamic multi-academy Trust, is seeking an inspiring and adaptable Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Headteacher on the Academy’s rapid improvement journey and raising standards in teaching and learning within our SEMH setting.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Collaborate with the Headteacher to formulate and implement the school’s vision, ethos, and strategic direction.
  • Play a leading role in the school development plan and self-evaluation, taking responsibility for designated aspects.
  • Manage staff and resources effectively to achieve the school’s objectives.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and ensure that parents are well informed about the curriculum and their children’s progress.
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead when required.
  • Lead reviews of school systems to ensure statutory requirements are met and improved upon.
  • Engage with the wider Trust and external organisations to improve educational outcomes for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a middle/senior leader within an SEMH setting.
  • Proven track record in school improvement and raising standards in teaching and learning.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to respond to a rapidly changing and complex environment.
  • Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
