Role: Deputy Head of Procurement

Location: Devon

Salary: £57,000 - £60,000

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Devon to recruit a Deputy Head of Procurement on a permanent basis. As Deputy Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for delivering commercial strategies across several key areas as well as managing a small team. The role can be based remotely and comes with a great Public Sector benefits package.

Role:

• Lead and develop on the organisation’s commercial strategy, alongside the Head of Procurement
• Provide strong support and input into strategic transformation activities
• Apply specialist knowledge in delivering and developing a high-quality service for strategic procurement
• Oversee the operational work of the procurement team
• Act as the escalation point for all procurement matters within the team
• Represent the organisation and enhance its influence/reputation to external stakeholders
• Help drive strategic decision making

Individual:

• Experience of public sector regulations
• Staff management experience
• MCIPS qualified, or equivalent level of relevant experience
• Track record of efficient stakeholder management
