What you will be doing

As an experienced RN you will provide a high profile, visible clinical leadership to the nursing team at the site. You will promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of all service users, employees, and visitors.

You will ensure that standards of resident care are always maintained within the parameters of operational policies and governing legislation, working 37.5 hours per week, recognising the need for flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.

As you work alongside team, you will provide exceptional support to the two distinct services providing specialist care and rehabilitation with a wide range of neurological needs. You will be working in an environment where there is an emphasis on teamwork. You will provide operational leadership in the delivery of highest quality nursing services.

Where you will be working

Location: Pathfields Lodge, Station Road, Knuston, Irchester, NN29 7EY

You will be working alongside the clinical team both within Pathfields Lodge and the new service to care for people with neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, complex care needs, often in conjunction with complex physical health needs.

You will deliver truly person-centred care where each person is at the heart of everything you do, at this specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service which boasts extensive facilities that cater for specific needs of the residents.

Our new Irchester based specialised neurological service, opening in April 2024, employs specialist nurses and an expert MDT and is situated within tranquil grounds in the village of Knuston, Northamptonshire.  The service will admit men and women with a brain injury or neurological condition, often with co-morbid complex physical health needs and/or mental health conditions whose behaviour prevents them from progressing to a more community-based placement.  The service will support those who require intensive rehabilitation, those that require a longer stay to aid rehabilitation goals as well as respite care packages.  The newly refurbished accommodation provides large single bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms, multiple therapy spaces including indoor and outdoor leisure areas.  Some ground floor bedrooms have access to a private garden.

Set in beautiful grounds within a small village, within a tranquil setting. Close to Rushden Lakes, the good road links makes it easily commutable from Northampton, Wellingborough and Milton Keynes.
