East Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Democratic Services Manager to join their team.

Location: CB7 4EE

Salary: £49,498- £56,426 p.a. (plus 5% Special Responsibility Allowance for the role of Democratic Services Manager)

Job Type: Permanent

Democratic Services Manager – The Role:

As Democratic Services Manager, you will advise at the highest levels and bring

continuous improvement. Leading Democratic Services (Elections, Committee

services and members support), you will provide strategic leadership, demonstrate

excellent political awareness and be positive and pragmatic.

Democratic Services Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Assist and support the Director Legal & Monitoring Officer

- Continually review and refine the Council's Constitution

- Provide proactive and timely advice on procedural and constitutional matters

- Offer support to Members and Officers, especially Lead Officers for committees

Democratic Services Manager – You:

Along with plenty of drive, you will need an administrative qualification (full ICSA,

degree or ADSO Diploma) and preferably experience at a senior level in Democratic

Services and the ability to connect and communicate.
