My client is seeking a Demand and Materials Planner to become an integral part of their Supply and Demand Team within the Commercial division. This role is perfect for someone with a track record in demand planning and purchase order management, who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Day to day of the role:

• Develop accurate demand forecasts by reviewing customer forecasts, historical sales trends, promotion plans, and other relevant activities.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of data within the demand planning software, adjusting the operational forecast as necessary.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to the demand planning process.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and commercial teams to understand and incorporate forecast drivers into planning.
• Contribute to inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Manage orders for inbound materials to meet demand plans, ensuring timely delivery and adjusting orders to reflect changes in the demand plan.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning to communicate customer action plans effectively.
• Maintain positive communication across all teams and promote a constructive working atmosphere.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a demand planning role.
• Skilled in purchase order management.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and time management skills.
• Proficient in managing customer forecasts and modelling scenarios.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
