Demand and Supply Planning Manager

A leading FMCG organisation with a strong track record of growth is seeking a highly experienced Demand and Supply Planning Manager to join their team in Rochester, with a salary of up to £60,000.

In this key role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire demand planning and supply chain operation, including inventory forecasting, purchase order management, and demand planning strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and demand planning, with previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will possess a deep understanding of the complexities of demand planning and supply chain management.

Role responsibilities of the Demand and Supply Planning Manager include:

• Working in conjunction with NPD, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Factory Managers to develop and improve forecasting processes to improve accuracy
• Overall management of inventory forecasting and demand planning
• Generating and submitting planned purchase requirements where appropriate in line with schedules
• Manage supply issues and develop alternative solutions where necessary
• Manage new product development processes in conjunction with business needs and demand
• Manage end-of-life process for slow moving and excess inventory

Person Specification of the Demand and Supply Planning Manager:

• Experience within a similar position within an FMCG environment
• A cross-functional understanding of supply chain planning, sales, NPD, logistics and marketing
• Excellent working knowledge of managing data through Excel and ERP/MRP software
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Highly organised with a hands-on approach

Salary

Up to £60k

This position is based fully on site and offers no hybrid working
