Defendant EL/PL Fee Earner

An EL/PL Solicitor/Fee Earner is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top 50 law firm based in Manchester. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

My client is an award winning, international law firm with an enviable reputation in the market. Working for this forward thinking firm there is a pleasant working environment, excellent benefits along with the option of remote working.

They are seeking a skilled EL/PL Fee Earner to join their dynamic personal injury team. The ideal candidate will have proven EL/PL Litigation experience and we are happy to consider both Solicitors, Legal Executives and Fee Earners. We are also happy to consider both Defendant and Claimant candidates.

As an EL/PL Fee Earner, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of defendant claims, providing high-quality legal advice to clients, and negotiating settlements on their behalf. This role requires a meticulous approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Handle a caseload of defendant EL/PL claims from inception to settlement or litigation.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients, providing clear and timely communication about their cases and the legal process.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into claims, gathering evidence, and liaising with experts when required.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with insurers and other parties, aiming for the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Litigation: Prepare cases for litigation, drafting court documents, and representing clients in court if needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements, following firm policies and industry regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other fee earners, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure seamless case management.
