Debtor Risk Analyst

Bibby Financial Services have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable Debtor Risk Analyst to join our team on a remote basis with the flexibility to come into any of our offices. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £31,000 per annum, plus benefits.

As our Debtor Risk Analyst, you will work closely with BFS operating companies and our service providers to deliver the Bad Debt Protection (BDP) UK Strategy within agreed risk and service standards. You will support by ensuring Debtor Risk is controlled within BFS to the standard agreed by the company, maintaining robust practices and procedures for the BDP product and in cases where our funding is reliant on a client’s own credit insurance policy.

Your responsibilities as our Debtor Risk Analyst will include:

  • Review all declined or withdrawn Bad Debt Protection cover limits to:
  • confirm agreement with the original decision and where appropriate put forward a case to increase cover to support the profitability of the BDP product, liaising with local office contacts and service providers where required;
  • where a potential debtor risk is confirmed, take action to understand overall exposure and risk to BFS and propose actions required.
  • Review all policy compliance reporting collated for our service providers and operating companies to identify potential risks and propose required action in relation to:
  • Overdue Debtors;
  • Notifiable Events;
  • Over-trading and Over-funding;
  • Work with the local Risk Managers to help drive any actions identified.
  • Support in tracking and monitoring of clients who utilise a credit insurance policy which supports our funding. Ensure compliance to each insurer’s requirements is being met and drive actions with local risk managers. 
  • Undertake reviews by Business or Industry sector as required by gathering insight from the BFS portfolio and external sources where available.
  • Support in driving best practise within BDP and Debtor Risk, and champion development and improvement of existing processes.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for Non-Recourse training within BFS.
  • Personally deliver a high level of service to all BFS colleagues and our clients whilst minimising risk.
  • Establish and maintain professional and expert relationships with all operating companies and our service providers.

What we are looking for in our ideal Debtor Risk Analyst:

Experience

  • Risk awareness (understanding of BFS Risk and general business risks);
  • Invoice Finance or Trade Credit Insurance experience;
  • Financial analysis;
  • Customer Service.

Skills

  • Influencing;
  • Excellent communication;
  • Strong IT skills;
  • Attention to detail.
