We have an exciting opportunity in our dedicated national DC Consulting team for an experienced DC consultant to join us working hybrid, to deliver advice to some of the UK’s largest employers and most innovative DC schemes. Office location: This role can be based out of any of our London, Reigate, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh offices.

The Role

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and assisting other colleagues to deliver advice to employers and trustees in relation to their DC schemes and wider savings plans. This covers a multitude of areas including scheme design, investment strategy, communications, retirement support, provider selection, governance and compliance.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering to account plans for clients and being proactive in raising opportunities.
  • Contribute as required to supporting and leading new business activity.
  • Reviewing advice papers drafted by others.
  • Attending and running client meetings.
  • Maintaining client records and systems.
  • Managing projects that are often large or complex for clients, from scoping through to successful delivery.
  • Contributing to internal client and colleague related specialist groups covering key DC issues or colleague development groups.
  • Supporting, training and where appropriate managing/mentoring less senior colleagues.
  • Building a network within WTW and working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of our business

This is a Certification Regime role under the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA’s) Senior Manager and Certification Regime and will be subject to the FCA’s Conduct Rules.

The Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g. PMI, CII, IMC etc and/or a certified individual under SMCR.
  • Strong DC knowledge and experience gained in a consulting role of both trust-based and contract based pension arrangements.
  • Proactive, inquisitive and organised with excellent project management and relationship management skills and a growth mindset in terms of self-development.
  • Ability to work predominantly as part of a team but also independently.
  • Detail oriented with good communication skills.
  • Willing to 'muck in’ to help us exceed our client and colleague expectations.
  • Able to work efficiently within budgets without jeopardising quality of work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel would be advantageous but not essential.
