Data Technical Lead

As a Data Technical Lead you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure we are developing strong strategy, design and development engineering skills across the organisation.

• Understand the individual application projects and products to refine the existing detailed designs (based on the high level design considerations and transition states) to a sufficient level of detail for translation into technical deliverables
• Collaborate with Chief Product Owner, Architects and Development teams to develop the solution design, aligning detailed designs with the high level design and escalating any deviations
• Present on key findings to senior stakeholders on data findings.
• Work closely with software architects, challenging their decisions and collaborating with them to optimise technical designs and translate them into technical deliverables
• Lead the decision-making process with all levels of Digital staff and management, as well as on individual project teams and make recommendations to effectively implement project requirements
• Documenting key transition states from a customer experience point of view and technology evolution throughout these states
• Supporting business customer journey mapping by highlighting technology implications and considerations

• Provide application design and programming expertise and guidance to IT professionals involved in the development and enhancement of business applications
• Work with IT functional areas to identify, propose and implement new technologies as solutions to business needs, based on strategic direction and priorities

• Proven experience (a minimum of three years) as a Technical Lead, Solutions Engineer or similar role, working within Agile frameworks and associated architectures, design, coding languages and testing & deployment tools
• Experience of SQL database.
• Experience of utilising business skill sets and interfacing with stakeholders.
• Scoping out projects and defining plan for delivery.
