Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Data Security Compliance Officer to join a great business based in East Grinstead. The Data Protection Compliance Officer role will be part of the hybrid working Data Security Compliance Team and will be responsible for the end to end process of preparing responses to data requests.

Duration: 12 month fixed term contract

Salary: £45-50K

Location: Hybrid working - East Grinstead, West Sussex

Data Protection Compliance Officer duties:

  • Process data requests in line with GDPR
  • Optimise in-house assessment processes and documentation, such as Data Security Checklists, Consent Checklists etc
  • Assist with reviewing and relaunch data protection processes where necessary
  • Monitor and assist with updating the data security communications and policy
  • Contribute to the development of GDPR training materials, training tools etc
  • Support the DPO in ensuring the importance of data security compliance

Skills and experience:

  • Candidates must have proven Data Protection / Data Security Compliance experience required, working in a similar role and have a strong knowledge and understanding the UK GDPR data protection law
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, meeting deadlines
  • Extensive experience of fulfilling data subject requests
