Data Manager Contract

Location: Birmingham (2 days a week on-site)

Day Rate: 400 (OUTSIDE of IR35)

Duration: 6 Months

Role Overview:

This will be a pivotal role in a business that is on a journey to become more data-centric. As they embark on a route that will change all our current systems and processes, they need a data champion. The responsibilities of the role will include formulating techniques to ensure the quality, adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data, and overseeing the organisation, storage, development, use and reporting of data systems.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working as a Data Manager, Business Data Analyst or similar role, implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
  • Proven experience of managing data at a detailed level, including solid working knowledge of data security laws and protocols.
  • A thorough and proven understanding of data management and administrative policies.
  • Experience of managing data in Microsoft Dynamics and cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information and explore it for insights, using statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions.
  • Knowledge of how to clean and prepare data for migration and analysis.
  • The ability to clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating reports and presentations to stakeholders that give the insights from the data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills delivering solutions to business problems using a data-driven approach.
  • Recognising the ethical implications of data usage, storage, and analysis, especially in terms of privacy.
  • Be aware of the use of AI and machine learning in the field of data analytics.
