An experienced Data Insights Manager with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing a team of data analysts is needed to join the team at this rapidly growing Data Analytics Consultancy based in Oxford. 

As their new Data Insights Manager, you will help their clients unlock the value of their data, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning within organisations.

This role is right for candidates seeking an office-based (Oxford), full-time (37.5 hours per week), five-day-per-week (Monday - Friday) opportunity. Please only apply for this role, if you can commit to this described working pattern and location.

About the Company

Founded in 2014 and based in Oxford, UK, this dynamic analytical consultancy specialises in data analysis, statistical modelling, and various analytical techniques like BI and Risk Management. They provide businesses with custom, secure solutions, primarily working in the cloud with AWS and GCP to process and analyse large volumes of client data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of data analysts and scientists, setting priorities and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while implementing quality assurance processes and conducting performance reviews
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Cloud Data Engineering Manager, and other project delivery members to define project scopes, set timelines, allocate resources, and ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
  • Partner with business development initiatives by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, contributing to proposal development, and engaging in client acquisition activities
  • Utilise statistical methods and data visualisation tools to analyse data, identify trends, and support executive decision-making with data-driven insights and compelling storytelling
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their data requirements, maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and deliver clear, actionable analysis findings and recommendations

Required Experience:

  • At least 2-3+ years experience in managing a team of data analysts or scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
  • Passion and curiosity for data visualisation; able to work comfortably with tools to manipulate large data sets into meaningful and visually impactful actionable insight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations and insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to all stakeholders (non-technical and technical).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Applicable certifications
