Data Governance Analyst

  • £350-450 per day Inside IR35
  • Flexible location, travel to Milton Keynes occasionally
  • Long Term Contract

This is a position working on a contract basis as a Data Governance Analyst working in a centralised Data Governance Team support projects internally at a leading Financial Services Company.

The key responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Supporting the Data Governance Manager in maturing content for the key data elements [KDE's] for the bank's domains.
  • Managing relationships with key Data Domain stakeholders, technical SMEs, Data Services and Platform Services teams across multiple domains.
  • Becoming an SME on the Enterprise Data Catalogue tool (EDC) to achieve metadata harvesting at scale, data profiling and discovery (e.g. GDPR Personal Data discovery), and lineage building using ETL tool scanning (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter).

The key experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

  • Experience in Financial Services / Banking, particularly within the data teams, will be very beneficial.
  • Experience in data governance - either using Informatica Data Management tools [Axon, EDC, IDQ] or other similar Metadata collection & analysis tools [e.g. Collibra, Solidatus].
  • Experience of reviewing / analysing mappings within Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tooling
  • Good experience with a range of IT systems and an understanding of the IT development lifecycle, including governance and approvals, and preparing and presenting software demos / training.
