Data Engineer

Hays Recruitment are currently working with a local public sector organisation to recruit for a Data Engineer on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Communication Skills (data)
• Data analysis and synthesis
• Data development process
• Data innovation
• Data integration design
• Data Modelling
• Technical understanding of Data Engineering
• Support and maintain the GIS

Main Duties

• Document any changes to data architecture
• Document source-to-target mappings
• Support the build of data streaming systems
• Write ETL / ELT scripts and code to make sure the process performs optimally.
• Develop data models to support self-service BI reporting
• Build accessible data for analysis
• Lead the build of data streaming systems
• Lead work on Database Management
