The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will develop high quality, innovative solutions that strive to improve the health of our world and environment.

Working openly and collaboratively with a diverse range of experts, you will follow Agile methodologies for the design, development and acceptance of data components for software solutions.

You will collaborate with our Product Owner to understand customer requirements and gain an understanding of implementation to inform solution scoping. Performing critical assessments, you will challenge assumptions and identify the most appropriate acceptance criteria to mitigate risk.

Developing solutions that adopt common data engineering best practices, you will design for scalability and performance, ensure data quality, implement robust error handling, undertake monitoring and logging, and adhere to security and privacy standards.

Additionally, you will:

- Undertake requirements analysis, scoping, specification definition, data analysis and project management
- Create production code and perform code reviews
- Utilise established design patterns and best practices

About You

To be considered as a Data Engineer, you will need:

- Experience working with TSQL, Extract Transform Load (ETL), Databricks, Power BI and Python
- Test Automation experience
- Refactoring experience
- Unit testing and mocking experience
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies
