Data Analyst / Quantitative Developer - General Insurance

We need a dynamic individual to assist with our client's risk portfolio. If you're skilled in Python and SQL with a passion for data this role could be for you!
As part of this specialist team in a Global (Re)Insurance Company you will be collaborating with IT, Actuarial, Underwriting, Catastrophe Modelling and Outwards Reinsurance amongst others on all their data requests, as such experience in the industry is highly desired, however, applications may be considered from other areas of the financial services sector.
In your role you will be:
- Maintaining Analytics cube integrity.
- Collaborating on technical pricing with the Actuarial team.
- Enhancing platform and data capabilities.
- Applying quantitative techniques to optimize portfolios.
- Preparing reports for Agencies and Regulators.
- Utilizing SQL Server for data tasks.
- Spotting and resolving data anomalies.
- Engaging in projects with the Analytics team
The team is extremely supportive and seeking an individual who can grow and develop this role with full mentoring. The core skills and requirements you will need to be able to demonstrate at interview are:
- Bachelor's in a quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python and T-SQL.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Experience with catastrophe models and Power BI is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
In addition to excellent training and development the company will consider supporting relevant qualifications for example Actuarial Exams.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the city of London office.
