Exciting Opportunity for a Data Analyst at a BMS Company in Colchester!

Are you a skilled Data Analyst looking for a rewarding role in Colchester? My client is a leading Building Management Systems (BMS) company seeking a talented individual to join there team. Job Summary: As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collating and analysing data to support effective business decisions and practices. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients, evaluating risk and providing valuable insights through statistical analysis and mathematical calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing master data and users
  • Liaising with internal and external clients to understand data content
  • Coordinating with energy suppliers to access consumption and billing data
  • Providing quality assurance of imported data
  • Designing and managing the reporting environment, including data sources and security
  • Identifying opportunities for process efficiency and automation
  • Setting up and maintaining automated data processes
  • Producing and tracking key performance indicators
  • Developing and supporting reporting processes
  • Monitoring and auditing data quality
  • Preparing reports and visualisations for internal and external audiences
  • Creating data dashboards and visualisations

Requirements:

  • Related degree-level qualification
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Ability to translate business requirements into understandable terms
  • Experience in handling large datasets
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Report writing skills and ability to present results effectively

  • Maintaining confidentiality of information in accordance with Company Policy
  • Participating in regular staff development reviews
  • Keeping up to date with Company procedures and policy
  • Familiarising oneself with health and safety procedures and reporting any risks promptly
