Damp and Mould Technical Officer required

Contract Type:            Permanent

Rate of Pay:              Dependent on experience

Venn Group are looking for a Damp and Mould Technical Officer to work for a Housing Association in Oxfordshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing technical advice and guidance to colleagues and customers in respect of the diagnosis and remediation of damp and mould issues
• Delivering a dedicated damp and mould service
• Ensuring any issues are identified and remedied quickly and effectively
• Carrying out proactive and preventative damp and mould inspections
• Producing technical written reports evidencing the cause of the problem
• Detailing recommendations for remedying any issues identified
• Following prescribed workflows and produce an audit trail and electronic record of all damp and mould inspections and work completed
• Providing specialist advice to tenants on the causes of damp and mould
• Supporting and monitoring contractor’s delivery of damp and mould solutions
• Liaising with contractors to agree works
• Preparing detailed specifications where necessary and tender repair work if required.
• Providing technical support and advice to colleagues

The successful candidate will have:

• ONC or equivalent in building surveying or similar
• Experience in a similar role
