Job Title: Cyber Governance Specialist
£50,000 - £60,000

Overview: We are looking for a Cyber Governance Specialist to lead the Cyber Security function's governance efforts. This role involves driving cultural change, implementing secure by design principles, and ensuring essential cyber security controls are embedded in projects from the outset. This is for a major medical defence organisation - if you have come from a legal or finance background, this would be prefered!
Responsibilities:
- Integrate secure design principles into projects, balancing business strategy with security risk.
- Coordinate project security testing and manage remedial work.
- Develop and deliver monthly management information (MI) and reporting.
- Assist in delivering security culture transformation initiatives.
- Maintain cyber security policies and update them as necessary.
- Support the certification pillar by maintaining current cyber certifications.
- Embed good cyber governance processes across the business.
- Collaborate on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar information security role within a mid/large sized organization.
- Expertise in security by design, culture, governance, and risk management.
- Experience with cyber risk management and governance processes.
- Extensive consulting experience on technical projects.
- Experience obtaining and maintaining cyber certifications.
- Familiarity with new cyber threats and technologies.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
