Adecco are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Team Manager for a Local Authority in the South London area.

  • Monday- Friday, 36 hours per week
  • Temporary role - 4 months with likely extension. Possibility of temp to perm in the future.
  • £20.57 per hour PAYE/ £27.96 per hour UMBRELLA

*This will be a fully office based role. You will be based at Bernard Weatherill House 5 days a week.


Purpose of The Role:

  • To be responsible for and develop an excellent customer centric advisory and information service to visitors, telephone callers and on-line customers, ensuring speedy access to council and partner services whether through the contact centre or face to face.
  • Lead, performance manage, develop and motivate a team of Customer Service Advisers, ensuring that they deliver excellent services which have the customer at the heart of everything.
  • To ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are fully complied with.
  • To improve existing customer access channels to include digital solutions, online solutions web-services.
  • To extend customer engagement activities and social marketing to develop the Customer Relationship Management in meeting customer service needs.
  • Work with all services to improve the customer experience through innovative and creative service improvements.

Qualifications/ Experience required:

  • Experience of performance management and team management
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and inspire the confidence of elected members, business people, decision makers, community leaders and local people.
  • Ability to plan, manage and monitor work programmes, to organise own and team's workload, maintaining high quality delivery, and achieving set deadlines and targets.
  • A proven ability to efficiently develop, lead and manage a Contact Service
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees
  • Experience of working in a Contact Centre environment
