Customer Service Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Epsom, Surrey

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 (DOE)

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our client and provide daily support to our business.  As the face of the business you will ensure the delivery of the highest quality customer service. The ideal candidate will be approachable, helpful.

 Attention to detail is crucial in delivering an organized, professional, and outstanding service – always with a smile and positivity.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Answer customer queries and place orders in a professional and timely manner across emails, live chat, and phone calls with excellent accuracy.
  • Handle customer complaints, offering appropriate solutions and alternatives promptly; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Engage with customers to forge positive relationships and confidently represent the company.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and file documents including returns, collections, and proof of delivery (PODs).
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to advise on alternative products, provide in-depth information, and upsell effectively.
  • Manage the order processing system, ensuring information is current and acting as a trainer for new users on SAP.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of various suppliers’ portals and their management.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive the right information and attention.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks to support other departments in delivering products in full and on time.
  • Act as a bridge between departments for smooth order management.
  • Support the Customer Service Manager, Team Leader, and other Customer Service Officers, working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Implement new procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Always be prepared to go the extra mile for our customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven customer support experience with a track record of over-delivering on customer expectations.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices, including SAP.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • A positive attitude and a customer-oriented approach.
