At AX, we are looking for a Claim Support Advisor To manage claim reviews efficiently and effectively, both before and during the hire period in which customers are utilising the AX proposition. 

To provide a professional technical service to colleagues and stakeholders within AX, evaluating all available information relating to referral sources and prospective clients with a view to protecting the AX asset, detecting and preventing fraudulent, and other criminal activity, always acting with honesty and integrity, and displaying confidentiality in respect of all duties carried out.

As our Claim Support Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
  • Identify and establish trends ensuring allocated claims with the relevant risk markers are reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Report any suspicious trends or potentially fraudulent activity to Line Manager
  • Play a key advisory role in the acceptance or rejection of risk claims and the strategy of managing a certain subset of on-hire claims.
  • Provide technical support to Operations colleagues dealing with referrals.
  • To evaluate risks to AX vehicles whilst on hire and where appropriate refer to Line Manager to facilitate recovery of the asset.
  • Carry out Open-Source (OSINT) intelligence gathering using all available tools including social media, fraud databases, and tracing software.
  • Gather, analyse and report intelligence for inclusion in fraud databases.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Review telematics data where required.
  • Provide support and advice on any AX delivery escalations.
  • Liaise with colleagues in AX Innovation and APU to ensure any intelligence is shared and any risk mitigation measures are implemented.
  • Validate identity and residency of subjects where required. 
Our Claim Support Advisor will bring the following skills and experiences to our team:
  • Experience of criminal and/or civil investigations and presenting evidence is an advantage.
  • Ideally previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ideal but not essential: experience of using AX Backoffice systems.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and the legal framework in the motor fraud arena. 
  • IT competent in using Microsoft Office. 
  • Demonstrable experience in risk management. 
  • Some knowledge of vehicle telematics.
  • Proven Investigatory background.
