The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy.

The role

The CRM Administrator will join the CRM Manager in the busy, mission-focused Corporate Relations, Communications and Marketing team supporting CISL's growth and efficiency through supporting on the business-critical Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The CRM is key within the Institute to manage our relationships, drive email marketing and support the future development of an extranet portal for our 40,000+ global network of alumni.

Your strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to convey complex CRM concepts, will make you successful in this role. You will have experience with CRM usage, including an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with CRM adoption. You will be a great collaborator in cross-functional teams.

Role Duties & Responsibilities:

  • CRM systems support - maintains an in-depth understanding of the CRM: its functionality, purpose and how it supports CISL staff in their business needs and use of the system.
  • Manages the training programme for staff, developing their skills and embedding CRM use across the Institute.
  • Performs CRM administration tasks, providing first-line help desk support for all system users, and troubleshooting issues with the platform and third-party tools
  • Manages the testing of system changes/development.
  • Helps maintains data quality for the Institute, overseeing data cleansing and looking for continuous improvement in data accuracy, and its compliance with GDPR.
  • Within reporting and data analysis develops and maintains custom individual and team reports and dashboards.

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience of using a CRM system; (experience with MS D365) would be an advantage but you will be provided with full training on this.
  • A confident and clear communicator.
  • Proactive, organised and proficient in administrative support tasks, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and plan accordingly
  • High level of literacy and attention to detail, including in managing data
  • A team player, confident in a fast-moving environment

This post is permanent, full-time on a hybrid working basis with at least 2 days in our award-winning Cambridge office.
