The Role: As a Duty Solicitor, you'll play a crucial role in the Crime Team, representing clients detained at police stations and handling a diverse caseload of criminal defense matters. Responsibilities include:
  • Advocacy in Magistrates’ Court, including summary trials
  • Managing a demanding caseload with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Passion for publically funded work and commitment to justice
  • Building strong client relationships and working collaboratively within a team
About You:
  • Minimum 1 year PQE in criminal matters
  • Crime duty accreditation preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • IT proficiency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Professionalism, pragmatism, and positive attitude
  • Strong client relationship and team-building skills
