Job Description:
As a Corporate Credit Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and assessing credit risk within the corporate portfolio of the investment bank. Leveraging your expertise in credit analysis and risk assessment, you will contribute to the evaluation of creditworthiness, identification of potential risks, and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive credit analyses of corporate clients, assessing financial statements, credit ratings, and industry dynamics.
  • Evaluate credit proposals and assess credit risks associated with new transactions, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor credit exposures and portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks and implementing proactive risk management measures.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers, traders, and credit risk management teams to address credit-related issues and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide insightful recommendations on credit risk matters, contributing to the development of risk management strategies and frameworks.
  • Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends impacting corporate credit risk, and provide relevant insights to senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in risk management are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in credit analysis within the financial services industry, preferably within an investment banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis principles, financial modeling techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and assess creditworthiness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Regulatory and compliance awareness related to credit risk management in the banking sector.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and mitigating credit risks effectively.
