Credit Controller

Long Eaton, NG10

£26,000 - £28,000 per annum (+ bonus)

40 hours per week, 8.30am - 5.00pm - flexibility with start/finish times

Our client, a well-established, family run business is keen to appoint a skilled credit controller to join their small team! This role possesses responsibility for the whole sales ledger function across two businesses, and requires experience in order to hit the ground running!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage credit control, including chasing debtors and promptly reporting any payment issues to the Directors.
  • Post receipts daily to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with team members to reconcile sales discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payments on account and outstanding proforma payments according to company guidelines.
  • Liaise with customer services to report KPIs on proforma customer order status to the directors.
  • Produce weekly KPI reports for aged debtors, highlighting any debt over 21 days and informing relevant staff.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Finance Director and customer service team to resolve outstanding debts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of credit control experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with commercial awareness.
