Credit Controller

• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

We are seeking a confident and outgoing Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing processes for the Credit Control function and the versatility to handle various tasks within a small finance team. Understanding the construction industry is desirable, but we are willing to provide full training if necessary.

• Proactively manage credit control across a portfolio of B2C and B2B customers/clients.
• Gain a basic understanding of the businesses and their products to effectively chase payment of invoices/book debts.
• Be responsible for the posting and allocation of collections against customer/client accounts.
• Chase outstanding invoices/book debts via telephone, email, and/or letter according to an agreed schedule.
• Conduct weekly reviews with Directors and senior managers.
• Verify invoices/book debts by confirming receipt of goods/services.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and customers, ensuring a team-oriented approach.
• Perform credit checks for B2B customers and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to engage actively within an enthusiastic and passionate team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Good time management skills and the ability to adapt to varying workloads.
• Flexibility to perform other finance-related tasks within a small team as needed.

This is predominantly a home working position but can be based in the Wolverhampton office 1 or 2 days per week.
