Credit Controller
Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a company based in Leeds who are recruiting a Credit Controller to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity to support the collection of processing and fees due for work. You will be working with the fees team/finance team and have shared responsibility for the daily working of collection fees.
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: £23K-£25K
Working Hours: 8:30am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect outstanding fees from clients, following up overdue invoices
- Collect fees directly requested by members
- Assist the Senior Credit Controller with managing key client accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding fees
- Manage the daily fees inbox, actioning incoming fee queries and collection requests
- Request updates on the states of Cases Funded Agreements (CFA’s) and Private Pay to ensure timely billing
- Address client payments with professionalism and manage the escalation process for unresolved client queries
- Work towards achieving individual and team monthly targets for fee collection
- Produce aged debt reports and payment summaries for members
- Generate and provide clients with statements of accounts and copies of fee notes
You will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build report with clients whilst maintaining a firm approach to collections
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a credit control, administration or customer facing services role
