Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Credit Controller for a business based in Birmingham. This business offers a collaborative work culture and are looking to expand their team to strengthen and develop their existing Credit function. The ideal candidate will have previous credit control experience dealing with complex clients and be able to work on their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of the debtor's ledger.
  • Compiling of aged debtors and bad debt reports.
  • Liaising with clients to understand outstanding debts and negotiate potential payment structures.
  • Daily bank reconciliations, cash allocation & statement reconciliations as required.
  • Build strong internal & external relationships to help resolve queries.
  • Support and guide members of the credit control team as and when required.
  • Contribute to team meetings and collective efforts towards the business goals.
  • Following through the debt collection process when required
  • Working with the wider business and internal stakeholders
  • Administrative tasks

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years previous credit control experience
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proactive/ Can do attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills
