Paying up to £30k + Bonus + Benefits - This highly successful and expanding organisation, with an office based in Skelmersdale is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. 

THE JOB

To manage customer accounts to reduce bad debts and improve cash flow by ensuring that existing customers have settled monthly accounts in a timely manner. Evaluating new credit requests, which includes checking credit ratings, deciding whether to allow credit to a debtor, and advising on credit limits.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly Review and control unallocated cash levels
  • Month end reporting to the Credit Control Manager and Month end customer statement runs
  • Attend regular debt meetings with the Group Credit Manager & Credit Control Manager to show ledger position and highlight areas where additional support is required
  • Oversee own ledger, including making calls to chase overdue accounts on the debtor’s ledger
  • Ensure appropriate credit risk processes are followed at all times
  • Open new customer accounts
  • Hold/Release and monitor customer orders and credit exposure
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open & honest feedback.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.

THE PERSON

All applicants will have proven credit control experience with a proven track record of delivering results in a B2B environment. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work on multiple ledgers. You will have the ability to work under pressure and have excellent Microsoft Excel skills. You need to be commutable to Skelmersdale as the role is currently office-based.
