Credit Control Team Leader
Reed Accountancy is currently assisting a growing organisation in the Crawley area who are seeking a Credit Control Team Leader to join their growing team, Reporting to the Credit Manager this role will have a strong commitment to financial stability and risk management so requires an individual with a passion for credit risk management, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
- Credit Limit Determination: Set appropriate credit limits based on risk assessment and business requirements.
- Debtor Management: Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and negotiate payment terms.
- Collections: Proactively manage collections, ensuring timely payment and minimizing bad debt exposure.
- Credit Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures, recommending improvements when necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly aged debtor reports, interpreting data to drive credit management decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to manage credit risk for new orders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control, with a focus on credit risk management.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
