Are you ready to take charge of credit management and contribute to the financial success of a market-leading community services company? Look no further! I'm seeking a skilled Credit Control Specialist to join our team in Manchester for an exciting 6-month project.

As a Credit Control Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our company receives timely payments from businesses and customers, working from their city of Manchester (central) location on a hybrid basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Credit Assessments: You'll evaluate customer creditworthiness based on industry standards, making informed decisions on approvals or denials.
  • Payment Negotiations: Work closely with clients to set up favourable payment plans and establish clear terms and conditions.
  • Debt Recovery: Chase outstanding invoices and book debts via phone, email, and letters, adhering to an agreed-upon schedule.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, tracking payments and interactions.
  • Legal Proceedings: If necessary, initiate legal actions against clients who fail to pay their debts promptly

I'm looking for candidates who possess:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar position.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You'll interact with clients, customers, and colleagues, so effective communication is essential.
  • Basic Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel will be beneficial.
