Credit Control Manager
Exeter, Devon


Our highly esteemed retail client is currently in search of an adept and self-starting Credit Control Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Credit Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the credit control function and ensuring smooth financial operations for the business. The ideal candidate should showcase proficiency in guiding teams through effective delegation, as well as the ability to immerse themselves in the details by being actively involved, thriving in providing structure and direction.

The responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the credit control strategy to maintain financial stability.
  • Maintain precise records and furnish accurate management information.
  • Ensure adherence to debt collection procedures.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of credit control processes.
  • Assess and approve/deny customer credit.
  • Establish payment plans and terms.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their growth and development.
  • Generate comprehensive management information on debt positions.
  • Collaborate with in-house legal counsel for initiating legal actions when necessary.
  • Direct reporting at the board level.

The candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in team management.
  • Strong background in credit control.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in guiding teams through effective delegation.
