The role reports into the Group Financial Controller and would manage the Credit Control team of 3; 2 Credit Controllers and 1 Accounts Receivable Assistant, out of their offices in Camberwell. Hybrid working is available; Monday and Tuesday working from home, the rest of the week in Camberwell.

This role will be to manage the team and drive improvements and processes, as well as set and improve on KPIs. The role will also manage its own ledger and will act as an escalation point for the team.

The role would suit someone who understands how SMEs operate, and someone who enjoys working in a cohesive team. There are 4 group companies, all of which are successful and well-established.

Main duties will include:

- Ensuring that the team are invoicing, collecting debt to terms and reconciling accounts to resolve problems

- Leading an effective in-house debt recovery service

- Managing senior queries and call escalations

- Managing, setting and delivering appropriate KPIs for the Credit Control team in conjunction with the Senior Management Team

- Ensuring that the team are communicating effectively with customers (phone as well as email)

- Providing weekly and monthly reports on team performance

- In addition to managing the overall team, you will also have your own ledgers to manage as well as interaction with order processing/customer service to ensure all outstanding queries are resolved

The Person:

- Previous experience in a similar role

- A confident communicator, capable of managing a small team

- Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to drive the team from within

- Organised and thorough approach

- Team player
