JOB TITLE: Credit Control Manager

LOCATION: Exeter

SALARY: £37,000 per annum

HOURS: 37.5 hoursMonday-Friday

THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Control Manager with proven leadership skills to join their team. As the Credit Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the department, helping to shape and implement the company's credit control strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and manage credit control policies and procedures
  • Assess and evaluate new and existing customers credit applications
  • Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on credit control activities
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise cash flow
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practises
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to credit control team, workload monitoring championing development, and continuous skill and career advancement

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in credit control management
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit control processes
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient IT user
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to achieving targets
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
