Credit Control - Collections Specialist
Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Collections - Debt Recovery specialist to work for a great organisation based in the Redhill, Surrey area. This is a permanent Collections - Debt Recovery job opportunity and will be working as part of the collections team, assisting with the collection process of customer debts to secure payment of monies etc. Ideal for someone with proven Credit Control or Debt recovery experience.
Salary: up to £28,320 + bonus + benefits
Location: Redhill - office based
Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday
Collections - Debt Recovery duties:
- Maximise cash collection of closed accounts
- Dealing directly with customers to establish reason behind no payment, negotiate payment plans etc
- Checking any account errors, incorrect charges on accounts
- Ensure customer account details are set up correctly, direct debits and rates are correct
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure required overdue debt recovery actions are taken
- Manage high risk accounts, any change of occupancy details and close any accounts where necessary
- Ensure customer is set up correctly, correct rates, direct debit set up etc
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience working in a debt recovery / credit control / collections type position
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Good IT skills
- Negotiation and listening skills
