Alexander Daniels are working with a market leading business to recruit for a credit control assistant. This entry-level position is ideal for college leavers or recent graduates who are looking to kick-start their career in finance. As a Credit Control Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our company by managing accounts receivable and minimizing overdue payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues related to billing and payments.
  • Prepare and distribute customer statements, reminder letters, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status in the accounting system.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (college leavers or recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Prior experience in credit control or accounts receivable (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
