Creative Development Trimmer - 39561

Based at: Gaydon  

Umbrella Rate:  £38.97 /hr

Position Description:

For the Creative Development Trimmer role, we require a highly skilled individual with patterning, sewing, component trimming capabilities. The role involves collaborating directly with designers and the colour and materials team to produce design models and display assets to the highest quality possible.

Skills Required:

Automotive patterning - seats and components. High level of machine & hand sewing. Component wrapping.

Experience Required:

Experience of full trimming full seats from patterning to finishing and flitting. Previous experience of working with leather and automotive textiles. Knowledge and familiarity of interior soft trimmed parts and their assembly. Experience of all sewing techniques Inc. piping, fluting, twinning. Ability to be able to read and follow rendered designs, CAD drawings and colour call outs. Knowledge and experience of safe working practices adhering to H&S policies. Able to communicate effectively to other members of staff and senior management.

Experience Preferred:

Knowledge of mass production process and procedures, In depth knowledge of textiles.
