Are you able to deliver lessons, focus children on the work you are delivering, and learn behaviour management strategies in order to be effective at secondary school level?

You will need to be able to manage pupil behaviour in different schools; and assimilate and implement each schools behaviour management policy as you go -as these are designed to assist & safeguard you. You will also need to feel comfortable as the only adult in a class, with no support from a TA -however if you have TA assistance this is an added bonus.

You will be delivering the National Curriculum in a variety of subjects, and all schools will expect that the learning intention from each lesson be adhered to -hence the need for the ability to assimilate & implement behaviour management and whole class teaching. There will be expectations to help keep pupils safe, promote positive behaviour, use ICT to promote pupils learning and further develop your current teaching skills.
