Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Kirklees starting September 2024. This is an ideal role for an individual with experience in education who is passionate about making a difference in students' lives.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of teaching and learning during the absence of regular teaching staff. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, helping to foster a positive and productive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students during teacher absences, ensuring they remain engaged and focused on their work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Provide feedback to the regular teaching staff on students' progress and behaviour.
  • Uphold the school's policies and ethos, promoting a respectful and inclusive culture.
