The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

  • Experience working as a Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A good understanding of the Cover Supervisor duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the Cover Supervisor role will have experience of working with pupils aged 11 - 16 in the UK or overseas. As a Cover Supervisor it will be your duty to cover all subjects across the curriculum and ensure that pupils are completing the work set to the best of their ability. Being a Cover Supervisor often leads to permanent positions in schools as well as a gateway to Initial Teacher Training. The ideal Cover Supervisor will understand the importance of the role they play in pupils' education.

I work with a range of schools across Wakefield from independent to inner city. As a Cover Supervisor you will travel to all school types and have the ability to adapt accordingly. The schools I work with expect a pre-booked Cover Supervisor to arrive at 8am and work until the end of the school day.
