Position Available: Cover Supervisor

What we are looking for:

Are you passionate about education and supporting the learning journey of secondary school students? We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in secondary schools around Nottingham. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of teachers. We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Commitment to Education - A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young minds.
  • Excellent Communication Skills - The ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive and conducive learning environment.
  • Adaptability - Flexibility and adaptability to work across various subjects and year groups, providing cover as required.
  • Strong Classroom Management - The capability to manage classroom behaviour and ensure that students remain focused and engaged in their learning.
  • Resilience - The capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure, handling unexpected situations with confidence and professionalism.
  • Team Player - A collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality education to our students.

What we require:

  • Minimum Qualifications - Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS Check - All successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Availability - The ability to work on a flexible basis, covering for absent teachers as and when required.
  • Professionalism - A professional attitude and appearance, adhering to the school's policies and procedures at all times.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, following all safeguarding protocols and procedures.
