Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools)

£85 - £110 per day

Career Teachers are proud to be working with a wide range of schools throughout the Sheffield and South Yorkshire area. We are looking for dedicated Cover Supervisors to work with us across secondary schools.

You don't need to have any teaching qualifications; you just need the passion and drive to play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent in the Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 environment.

The role will include:

  • Supervising students in the absence of a regular teacher,
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring smooth classroom management,
  • Providing support to students to ensure they are engaged and on task,
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment,
  • The chance to work across a range of subjects, including P.E, English, Science, Maths, Drama and many more.
  • Leading class sizes of up to 30 students

The requirements for the role:

  • A passion for education and working with young people,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively,
  • Flexibility and resilience to work on short notice,
  • Confidence to engage and lead up to 30 students,
  • Experience in working within a team focused environment,
  • The ideal candidate will be working toward a teaching career as this is a great opportunity to gain experience within the environment.

Experience within a teaching role is not essential, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds with varying levels of experience.

Salary & working hours:

Daily rates of pay vary dependent on experience between £85 to £110.

This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time positions available - meaning, you have full control of when you are looking to work and how many hours you want to complete.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
